The Promise of Hope

Hello again everyone. I apologize for not posting much on here for the last several months. I have so many ideas for posts that I am now working on and am excited to share with everyone.

For as long as I can remember, I have been wanting to write a book. I believe books are a great way to share our human experience and to lift and help each other. Years ago I read some advice that said, “If you want to write a book, you should wait until you have something useful to say.” As I have entertained the aspiration to write, this is something that has often come to mind. I have found myself asking, “What useful thing do I have to say?”

With all the events that have taken place over the last year, many of us have encountered challenges and hardships that we never anticipated. We have been forced out of our comfort zones and into our private lives in ways that we never would have chosen for ourselves. For many, these challenges have been exhausting and frustrating. It is easy to see this frustration if you have encountered any of the conversations and commentaries on 2020.

As I have heard these discussions of 2020, I have seen the almost universal pessimism surrounding the challenges we faced individually, as families, as nations and as a world.

Amidst all this pessimism, however, I have felt a lot of peace, I have experienced a lot of growth, and I find myself grateful for the challenges I have gone through. I have written about gratitude and miracles and improvement during this time. I believe the experiences of 2020, as difficult as they were and continue to be, can give us a lot of reasons to hope for the future.

These feelings have helped me find something that I wanted to share that I believe is important and can be a help to all of us who have been struggling to find joy and hope in the gospel and life. The reason I have been silent on this blog for the last several months is that I have been super busy working on a book.

My new book is titled The Promise of Hope: Finding Hope When You Face Challenges and Trials. It is all about why we all have reasons for hope every day. We all have reasons, no matter how difficult our trials are, to have hope in a greater and brighter future. And we can all experience joy as we hold to this hope and strive to be better every day. It is my hope that the thoughts that I share in this book will help you to have more joy and hope in your daily life.

Working on this book has been a labor of love for the last 6 months and I hope you will take a chance and read it. My book is now available for purchase on Amazon either as a Kindle ebook or paperback. Right now, you can read the Kindle version for free if you use Kindle Unlimited.

If you do read it, I would greatly appreciate if you would share reviews on Amazon as they will help others who may find it interesting see the book.

Thank you all for your support and for the time you spend reading what I write. I am very excited to share many more ideas with you here on this blog. I hope you continue to enjoy your journey each day.
